"Before the Masterpiece"

Here is another painting done with my left hand.

This painting tells a story, but depending on who you are, the story may be different. What does the title and this painting tell you? Please comment and let me know!

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." ~Psalm 119:105

  1. You're right--the interpretation tells many stories. I will tell the first two stories that came to my mind.

1: All is quiet, and the writer has prepared to work late into the night, with a fresh quill and a full lamp of oil. I like to imagine that the writer is myself.

2: The writer was ready to begin, and already had the lamp shedding light on his blank page, when he was called away to minister to the pressing need of a friend. I imagine that the planned epistle is postponed, in order to write an epistle of practical love into the memory of the friend who received the selfless service of the writer.
